From an Idea to an Experience
What began as the idea for a wig bar grew into something more thoughtful.
We imagined an experience that could make alternative hair feel less intimidating and more personal—where a woman could receive guidance, discover what works for her, learn how to care for what she chooses, and build a Crown wardrobe around the life she already lives.
That idea became Crown Studios™.

For us, hair has never been only about appearance.
Within Black American culture, hair carries history, identity, creativity and self-expression.
And while that history is an important part of our story, the relationship between a woman and her hair reaches far beyond any one culture, age, background, or circumstance.
Women turn to alternative hair for countless reasons—self-expression, convenience, protective styling, hair loss, health changes, sensitivity, reinvention, or simply because they want another beautiful way to show up in the world.
Every reason is worthy of dignity. Every woman deserves to feel seen.
Crown Studios honors the deeply personal relationship women have with their hair while creating something forward-looking: a beautiful, dignified alternative-hair experience built around service, education, community and opportunity.
We call it our Crown for a reason.
